Volunteer Conservation Work Parties
Every Tuesday: 10am to 1pm
Get involved with some hands-on conservation by helping us care for our green spaces and the wildlife that thrives in them – plus you can get active, meet new people and enjoy learning rural practices at the same time. This February our volunteer work party will be assisting with vital work at Wandlelbury Park and Coton Reserve. If you can spare any time then please come along and lend a hand!
NB: All welcome (children/teens accompanied). Meet at the car park notice boards. All instruction, equipment and tools provided. Wear tough clothing and footwear, and bring snacks and a drink. No need to book, just turn up.

Healthy Walking at Wandlebury
Every Thursday: 10am or 10.30am to 11am
Keep fit and greet the changing of the season with our enthusiastic group of trained volunteers who lead the two, weekly Walking for Health walks at Wandlebury. The first is slightly faster while the second is more leisurely, accommodating people who are not so fit or are newcomers to the group. Each walk lasts around 30 minutes and covers about 1.5 miles. This social group meets all year round at 10am every Thursday morning, with the slower walk starting at 10.30am. Some people like it so much they do both walks! Teas and coffees are available afterwards.
NB: All welcome, suitable for all abilities. Free of charge and no need to book, please arrive 10 minutes early to register if it’s your first session. Donations towards the upkeep of the park are always welcome.

Holiday Bushcraft (5-12 years)
Monday 17, Tuesday 18, Wednesday 19 February: 8.30am to 4pm
Holiday Bushcraft at Wandlebury is designed for children ages 5-12 and is run by experienced, qualified teachers from the outdoor learning experience group, Wild Thyme & Embers, who will inspire children and share their knowledge and skills of surviving in the wild. The sessions follow a forest school approach, encouraging self-confidence and a sense of achievement. All basic bushcraft techniques suitable for this age range will be taught, including shelter building, knots, plant recognition, woodcrafts, fire lighting and wilderness cooking, use of cutting tools and whittling, arts, crafts and much more.
NB: Booking essential. The cost for each day is £38 per child. Children need to bring a packed lunch and large water bottle (which can be refilled throughout the day) and dress for the weather. Please send children with a change of clothes and ensure they wear suitable footwear, preferably closed-toe shoes such as hiking boots, wellies or trainers. Wild Thyme will take care of everything else, including providing all specialist equipment as well as delicious snacks cooked on the fire!

Our award-winning story and rhyme times offer a safe place for parents and carers, to bring young children to interact with each other and take part in singing fun memorable songs. Adults and children are encouraged to join in together with songs, stories, instruments and bubbles! Runs during term time, no booking necessary, all events are free.

The club is free and there is no need to book.

Salvation Army Messy Church; Messy Church is a form of church for children and adults that involves creativity, celebration and hospitality. Its aim is to introduce Jesus, to give an opportunity to encounter him and to grow closer to him.
